JMJ Disability Services ends the year with a bang, as it opened its Darwin CBD office last Friday December 17.  Various VIPs, industry stakeholders and partners attended and wished JMJ all the best as it transforms into a company.

The office premises at 8/48 Woods Street, was blessed by Fr. Bords Manila of the Holy Family Parish in Karama, followed by a special dedication and inspirational message by Rev. Pastor Norman Mangohig of the Multicultural Christian Fellowship Church, Darwin NT.  Welcome remarks was given by JMJ Managing Director Earvin Alinsug and special messages were given by Hon. Luke Gosling OAM, MP, Hon. Jimmy Bohouris, Consul Gen. John Rivas, Multicultural Council of the NT President Dr. Edwin Lourdes Joseph, and Kindness Shake Co-Founder and Chair and Territory Families’ Benjamin Poveda.

“It all started with a dream, a desire to provide the best possible care to our participants and supporting their choices.  Fast forward to three years later, I am very proud of JMJ’s phenomenal growth and accomplishments.  Special thanks to the passion and dedication of our amazing team, support of industry stakeholders and the trust and confidence of our beloved participants.  Times are rapidly changing but I am confident that JMJ, inspired by the love and charity of the Holy Family, will continue to be a beacon of excellence in this industry.”Maria Rizza Gumban, Founder and CEO.

Gumban is grateful for all the hardworking and dedicated men and women behind JMJ who have helped the company grow from a sole proprietorship into one of the fastest growing NDIS registered disability services providers in the Top End.   In fact, JMJ is one of the few successful local Katherine businesses that have rapidly expanded into Darwin and Palmerston.  Its humble beginnings dates back to 2018 and now on its third year, JMJ takes pride in being recently nominated for Outstanding Service Provider by the International Day of People with Disability Awards 2021.  We can truly expect great things in the coming days when everything is done with a burning passion and from the heart.
