“Diversity is the spice of life, keep it tasty!” – Nikita C.

JMJ Disability Serv Pty Ltd participants and staff took part of the recent Australian Red CrossConnected Women Darwin’s Let’s Cook and Create workshop at the Multicultural Council of the Northern Territory.  This is a monthly community event that’s open for all to join.

JMJ’s Cristina Magbojos was invited to do a cooking demonstration of her mum’s Spanish Paella while Australian Red Cross’ Grace Ilao prepared her delicious banana fritters.  Participants Niccy and Carlina learned and helped to prepare the dishes while house supervisor Lydeth Humawid and House Leader Sharmila Shrestha supported them.

It was a great opportunity for capacity building while meeting new friends in the community.  The event was attended by women from diverse backgrounds and industries.
